Originally hailing from the vibrant Bay Area in California, Jahsee Music's creative spirit and passion for music know no bounds. With roots extending around the world, he has taken it upon himself to spread positive vibes through his captivating musical creations. Embracing his identity and cultural heritage as a member of the Temene A'bara Nation, with roots tracing back to Sierra Leone, Jahsee's journey to self-discovery and inspiration has taken him to diverse and captivating places, including Jamaica, Tanzania, and Ethiopia.

Jahsee's artistic journey began in Chicago, where he immersed himself in the local underground scene around Hyde Park and WHPK. During his time on the Southside of the city, he not only honed his skills but also gave back to the community through arts education programs for local youth. This experience laid the foundation for his mission to use music as a medium for positive change and empowerment.

In 2009, Jahsee ventured back to his home state, settling in the Bay Area. There, he continued his meaningful work, serving in communities throughout East and West Oakland. It was during this time that his talent as a producer and artist flourished, and he took on various monikers, such as Flip Child and Nap Nat, before finally embracing the name we now know him by – Jahsee Music, in 2017.

In the spring of 2020, Jahsee released his much-anticipated debut EP, COA$T$. The four-song project showcased not only his exceptional skills as a beat-maker but also his ability to deliver impactful messages through his compelling lyrics. Identity, a recurring theme in his music, takes center stage, with his songs delving into topics that range from love and joy to more profound issues like race and power. Through his music, Jahsee aims to create a space for reflection and meaningful dialogue, using the power of his voice to advocate for change.
